Discussion on: How do I recover from Plantar Fasciitis?

I’ve had plantar fasciitis since I was a teen. Mine manifests as pain mostly in my arch as opposed to heel.

When I was a team athlete I had intense massages from our athletic therapist that worked. Best way to replicate that would be rolling etc. but it’s not incredibly practical.

The other thing that worked for me was taping my foot so it got the right support. Doing this as a hobbyist is kind of impractical but I use compression sleeves which provide a bit of that support.

I’ll take a look a taping, thanks for that. I’ll do more rolling too. Do you still suffer now?

I have way fewer symptoms but I don't think it's massively better. I used to suffer the worst in the offseason when I was squatting 425lbs+ pretty consistently.

These days I don't put as much strain on my arches so I don't have as many symptoms personally but I don't think the issue ever really went away.

Taping really did help though. My trainers taught me how to do it but I got the hang of doing it myself as part of my routine most of my college athletic career.
